What is Yoga for Women
Yoga for Women is a powerful method, combining ancient yoga wisdom with other movement modalities and recent research, aimed to support the female body throughout the changes of life.
The traditional practice of yoga was developed and practised for centuries by men and was designed for men. In Yoga for Women, we give tools to support issues that are commonly experienced by women, such as painful hips and shoulders, PMS, recovery after giving birth, incontinence, pre & post menopause symptoms, joint pain and more. During the fertile years, we work with each phase of the monthly cycle to support hormonal balance and enhance fertility.
In Yoga for Women classes, we strengthen the core muscles with an emphasis on the pelvic floor (Mula Bandha) in connection with the breath. We focus on creating movement and stability in the hips, which supports our reproductive organs and contributes to a more balanced hormonal system. The practice aims to develop strength and flexibility and to connect us to our deep inner strength and wisdom as women. It focuses on stimulating the vagus nerve and regulating the nervous system to enhance relaxation.
Personally, as a woman who is going through pre menopause, I find these practices give me tools to support and understand what my body is going through in this rather challenging moment in life, which is why I’m keen to share them with other women.
Women of all ages are welcome.
You don’t need to have prior experience.
Classes can be gentle or dynamic and are tailored to your needs.

Hi, I'm Yonat
My love of yoga started when I trained to become a professional dancer in London, and found myself skipping ballet classes in favour of yoga…
I then performed and taught contemporary dance in schools and universities whilst continuing to deepen my knowledge of yoga, and then trained and started teaching yoga in 2010.
Over the years I taught many styles from Vinyasa and Gentle Yoga to Pre& Post Natal and Children Yoga. I was lucky to study with some inspirational teachers (Katy Appleton, Jason Crandell, Jo Manuel and many others).
In 2024-5 I trained to become a Yoga for Women teacher with Mira Artzi-Padan which was a life changing experience for me.
This practice connects me to the wisdom of my body and my inner strength. It continues to inspire and support me everyday, and I know that it can offer support to so many women throughout their life.
